-         Submit payment payable to Calgary Regional Appaloosa Club (1997)

-         Submit entry form, payment and copies of your registration papers & membership cards to Calgary Regional Appaloosa Club (1997)  Monique Plumb.

DO NOT SUBMIT STABLING PAYMENT TO THE AHAA.

The arenas and wash rack will be available for use on Friday evening. Showers are available in the Agriplex.

Hi Point and Reserve Hi Point Awards – Eligible Classes

1                    Youth 18 & Under: Classes # 11, 21, 33, 47, 52, 59, 67 & 73.

2          Youth 9 & Under: Classes # 69 & 75.

3          Lead Line 6& Under: Class # 38.

4          Novice Youth: Classes # 34, 48, 53, 60, 68,  & 74.

5                    Amateur: Classes # 01, 10, 20, 30, 35, 40, 42, 44, 50, 54, 62, 71, 77 & 79.

6                    Novice Amateur: Classes # 36, 51, 55, 61, 72 & 78.

7                    Hi Point and Reserve Hi Point Jr. Horse – must compete in at least one (1) halter class:

Classes # 05, 06, 07, 15, 16, 17, 25, 26, 27, 39, 41, 43, 45, 49, 56, 58, 63, 65, 70, 80 & 87.

8                    Hi Point and Reserve Hi Point Sr. Horse – must compete in at least one (1) halter class:

Classes #  07, 17, 27, 39, 41, 43, 46, 56, 64, 66, 81 & 87.

9          Hi Point and Reserve Hi Point Cattle Horse Classes #  89 & 98.

***Awards for High Points and Reserve High Points.

*** Cash prize of $50.00 will be awarded to Circuit Halter Champions.

*** Cash prize of $25.00 will be awarded to Circuit Reserve Halter Champions

 
FOR THE ApHC CLASSES;

 HIGH POINT and RESERVE AWARDS: In order to qualify for a high point award, exhibitors must show to all judges. ALL AWARDS ARE BASED ON ONE HORSE & RIDER COMBINATION. Points will be tabulated throughout the show. Points are awarded using the ‘points per horse shown’ method. E.g.: 1st place out of 6 entries will receive 6 pts;  2nd = 5 pts;  3rd = 4 pts;  4th = 3 pts;  5th = 2 pts;  6th = 1 pt.  Scale will be a sliding scale depending on number of entries in class. The participant with the most 1st place achievements will decide ties. 

1.                  Classes  eligible are as follows:

Junior Horse (eligible classes are: 45, 49, 56, 63, 65, 70, 80 & 86.)

Senior Horse (eligible classes are: 46, 56, 64, 66, 81 & 85.)

Non Pro (eligible classes are: 01, 10, 20, 30, 35, 40, 42, 44, 50, 54, 62, 71, 77, 79, 82, 88 & 92.)

Novice Non Pro (eligible classes are: 01, 10, 20, 30, 36, 40, 42, 44, 51, 55, 61, 72, 78 & 94.)

Youth (eligible classes are: 11, 21, 33, 47, 52, 59, 67 & 73.)

Novice Youth (eligible classes are: 11, 21, 34, 48, 53, 60, 68 & 74.)

Walk/Trot Youth (eligible classes are: 69 & 76.)

Halter Horse (eligible classes are: 02, 03, 05, 06, 07, 12, 13, 15, 16, 17, 22, 23, 25, 26, 27, 31, 39, 41 & 43.)

Cattle Horse (eligible classes are: 90, 91, 96 & 97.)

*** High Point and Reserve High Points will be awarded.

Spot prizes will be given randomly throughout the show.


APPALOOSA CONGRESS SHOW 2008

SHOW RULES

PLEASE ENSURE YOU READ THE RULES AS STATED IN THE 2008 OFFICIAL HANDBOOKS OF THE ApHC AND ApHCC. MOST CLASSES WILL RUN UNDER THE SAME RULES, HOWEVER, THERE ARE SOME EXCEPTIONS AND IT IS UP TO THE EXHIBITORS TO MAKE THEMSELVES FAMILIAR WITH THIS.

PLEASE ASK THE SHOW OFFICE PRIOR TO YOUR CLASS SHOULD YOU HAVE QUESTIONS. 

FOR THE ApHCC CLASSES:

1.        All classes will be conducted and judged in accordance with the ApHCC Rule Book.

2.       All horses shown in ApHCC classes must meet ApHCC requirements. Bring a photo- copy (both sides) of registration papers  OR  Competition Permit

3.        All owners and exhibitors in ApHCC classes MUST be ApHCC members. Bring owners and exhibitors ApHCC membership cards.

4.        The show committee reserves the right to combine and/or cancel a class.

5.        No cross entries with classes 18 and under – walk/jog – lead line.

6.        Cattle classes – Both days – Post marked entries close August 05, 2008.

7.        All other classes close on August 08, 2008. All entries post marked after August 08, 2008 will be considered Post Entries.

8.        Any disputes must be in writing, accompanied by a deposit of $50.00 in cash (which will be forfeited if the protest is not sustained) within 12 hours of the time of the cause of the charge. The show committee at the conclusion of the show will review the dispute.
 

FOR THE ApHC CLASSES:

ApHC rules will apply to all classes according to the 2008 official handbook.

1.                    ENTRY DEADLINE – August 08 – Post entries will be accepted at the show.

EXHIBITORS ARE RESPOSIBLE FOR ERRORS ON ALL ENTRY FORMS.

2.                    If entries are made for both days and the exhibitor wishes to change entries, they may do so by filling out individual class correction forms, indicating additions, scratches, or change of exhibitor. If these Class changes are received in the show office at least one hour  prior to the class, the class(es) will be deleted and not charged. All other classes, which are scratched, will be charged.

3.                    In cases of classes with posted order of performance, any horse missing its turn will be eliminated from that class unless otherwise arranged in advance. A working order will be drawn for all individual work classes including Halter.

4.                    A $50.00 NSF charge will be charged on all cheques not honored and failure to clear the debt promptly may result in suspension from the ApHC.

5.                    All horses are subject to drug testing and all owners agree that by making their entry, they will allow their horses to be tested.

6.                    REGISTRATION PAPERS: Original papers or current photocopy must be presented with all entries. Master registration form must show owner exactly as listed on the papers. Amateur/Non Pro and Youth exhibitors must produce registration papers showing ownership or proving approved relationship to the owner. All horses shown in ApHC classes must have valid ApHC papers.

7.                    MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS: Every person competing in an AHAA approved show must possess a current AHAA membership for their points to count for the AHAA year end awards. If the exhibitor wishes to enter the ApHC approved classes, he/she must possess a current individual ApHC membership card, or ApHC membership card with Non Pro/Youth privileges, recorded solely in their name, or must complete a membership application and pay at the show. The membership application will be submitted with the show roster.

8.                    EXHIBITOR NUMBERS: Each horse will be issued an exhibitor number at the show. This number must be displayed properly each time the horse enters the ring.

9.                    UNSPORTSMANLIKE CONDUCT: When an Exhibitor, owner and/or his representative acting on behalf of the exhibitor is guilty of unsportsmanlike conduct and/or inhumane treatment of a horse while on the show grounds, the Show management, at its sole discretion, may suspend such individual(s) from competition and a report will be forwarded to ApHC. No refund of entry fees will be made.

10.                 DISPUTES must be in writing, accompanied by a deposit of $50.00 in cash (which will be forfeited if protest is not sustained) within 12 hours of the time of the cause of the charge. The dispute will be reviewed by the show committee at the conclusion of the show.

11.                 Youth or Amateur/Non pro classes will automatically be combined if there is not a point class in 1 division. The classes that are combined will be run at the time the Youth or Amateur/Non Pro classes would be scheduled.
