Our Volunteer Recognition
Spot
& Volunteer Opportunities
It would be impossible to run a club, or a booth and most
certainly parades and competitions without the great contributions of the
volunteer.
CRAC would like to recognize the efforts and dedication of the
following people for their volunteerism and club spirit!
Our deepest thanks and sincere appreciation to:
Donna Wyatt
Donna has been a longstanding and extremely active club member,
for more than a couple of moons. One never tells a lady's age!!!
She has dedicated herself and her life to the promotion,
breeding, historical records and to the education of the public on the amazing
abilities of the Appaloosa horse.
She has been a tireless worker. Each year you can find her doing
parades, sitting on the Calgary Stampede Light Horse Board, attending and
helping to run the horse shows...... her venues are nearly too numerous to
mention. One has to wonder where she gets all her energy from!
Donna, & late husband Syd, were noted Appaloosa breeders and
traveled to Germany and Australia to promote the breed. They regularly had
guests come and stay at their ranch to learn about horses and enjoy the beauty
that is Alberta. As a result many of their horses have found their way to new
homes in other countries!
Donna is also very active in keeping and building the history of
the Appaloosa horse in Alberta. She is a director for the Appaloosa Horse Museum
in Claresholm. Please do come on down and see the collections!
Donna's work over the years, has left a deep impression on all
that know her. Our club has been very lucky to have such a greatly dedicated
lady in its' corner. Her home is always open for a cuppa and good conversation.
Many folks have crossed her threshold and left wiser for having come.
We salute you Donna! Your work has been utterly priceless and
we are deeply thankful for your support!
