The Calgary Regional Appaloosa Club hosts two horse competitions in the calendar year in beautiful Claresholm Alberta.

Claresholm is a typical small town. It has its' main street and side streets filled with homes and shops, with an easy country charm and warm hearted, friendly folks. CRAC has found hosting their competition in Claresholm to be a great experience.

Claresholm is also the permanent home of the Appaloosa Museum! If you have some time, take a short drive south from Calgary and visit this unique museum which dedicates itself to the Appaloosa horse and it's supporters in Alberta's history. There are great artifacts and education to be had about people who have been major supporters and educators about the Appaloosa and Alberta!

In June, the Super Circuit is held, in August it is the Appaloosa Congress. The competitions have lead line, yearling, in hand, English, Western, equitation (both English & Western), dressage, Open Breed classes and jumping classes. The Cattle classes held on the Saturday nights, have always been a huge fun crowd pleaser!

I do have to apologize that there isn't more English shots! Learning curve on my new digital camera!

In any case, here's a few shots for you to gander at!
